Yes, although our primary focus is teaching, with the goal of discipleship:
providing Christians with Biblical solutions in order to see them walk out their
faith with victory, instead of ongoing defeat. Our seminars address
emotional wounds of the past, give practical steps to wholeness, and invite the
Lord to bring healing and deliverance to those areas. Since key principles
are covered in the 5 Days of Healing seminar, we require seminar attendance as a
prerequisite to those who want counseling.

When Jacob's Well first began, much time was given to full-time counseling.
After nearly 13 years of counseling, and facing potential burn-out, the Lord was
asked for a more effective way to see people healed, delivered, and walking in
freedom. The vision of the 5 Days of Healing seminar was born, and it has
been running for over 20 years simply by word-of-mouth. When people
experience God's life-changing power, and are equipped to overcome the enemy in
their lives, they tell others. While there are those we never hear from,
regular testimonials via e-mail, post, telephone and referral have proven to us
that God, through the power of His Word and Holy Spirit, can change people's
lives... yes, even in just 5 days.
The 5 Days of Healing seminar is the flagship seminar that we recommend
simply because it covers so many areas where people struggle to breakthrough in
relationship to God and in relationship with others. Yet often
testimonials come from our one-day seminars as well, particularly the Curses &
Deliverance seminar, where people experience healing from physical, mental and
emotional issues. Over the years, we have seen that one of the key
ingredients to success is that people are open before the Lord and others,
willing to deal with sin, and determined to obey God's Word.

Initially designed for new believers, we have seen pastors, missionaries,
elders, lay-people, and those who have been raised in the church come to
emotional healing, deliverance, and restoration as they have gone through our
seminars. Our vision is to come alongside and complement local churches,
which allows us to focus on healing and deliverance, and diffuse some of the
Christian terminology that often leaves people scrambling. We know, for
instance, we're to forgive those who wrong us, but how many of us know
practically how to do this? Or how to respond to injustice? Or how
to relate to God as our Father, when we've been so hurt by an earthly father?
Our seminars are designed for people needing a breakthrough in their
relationship with God or those experiencing turmoil emotionally, mentally
or physically, and who, in turn, are struggling in their work, family,
social, or spiritual relationships.

The 5 Days of Healing seminar does not focus specifically on marriage; it
focuses on you as an individual. Often marriage difficulties stem from
unresolved issues prior to marriage, and usually from emotional woundedness.
The seminar addresses key areas in our personalities that cause us to develop
walls and prevent openness in relationships. Since the seminar is focused
on healing, and on tools to help you walk in wholeness, the seminar would
definitely be helpful for you, and for your spouse. However, we require
that couples struggling in their marriages attend the seminar separately in
order to receive the most benefit. As a couple, you might also want to
consider attending the one day Marriage Seminar for Couples which we offer
semi-annually.

Yes, we do. However, we only help those who want change. Many
people consider their addiction as their best friend. God doesn't deliver
us from our friends; only from our enemies. Through the power of the Holy
Spirit, we have seen many people delivered and set free from a wide range of
addictions, and who have continued to be free from those addictions over time.

For our 5 Days of Healing seminar, we accommodate a small group between 4 and
7. Our one day seminars run between 15 and 25 people.

Our fees for the 5 Days of Healing seminar are $500 and include accommodation
in a private room with en-suite, all meals, a manual with additional hand-outs,
and ministry. There are no hidden fees and no additional charges.
Our one day seminars are between $30 and $40, depending on whether or not
food is provided with the seminar. The Marriage seminar is discounted for
couples ($60 per couple instead of $80). All seminar fees include hand-outs, a meal (if one is
stipulated), and beverages.

Only on a case-by-case basis, since we deliberately keep our seminar costs
affordable. In reality, the fees only cover about half of our operating
costs. However, for those who cannot afford the seminar fees, we advise
they first make their need known to God ("God, you're leading me to this
ministry; you know the costs -- I can't afford it, but Your Word says You supply
all my needs. Please supply this need"). Second, they need to make
their need known to others who would support them -- church, home Bible study
group, friends, family, or those who would support their decision to come -- and
ask if they would contribute financially to them coming. Third, they need
to sit down and calculate how much they can afford right now. The
$100 deposit is not optional. The details of a payment plan can then be
worked out with our office.

No. Whether you are trying to cut down the costs of the seminar or
trying to balance family commitments, your reasons may be good but we require
you to stay on-site. Experience has taught us this is the best approach.
Inevitably, distractions come up: the dog breaks a leg, there's a crisis at
work, your sister-in-law needs you to take the children, and the list goes on.
Because the seminar covers so much material, time is set aside during the
evening for you to apply the day's teaching to your personal situation. We
want you to get all the Lord has for you in the week that you're here, and we
believe that God meets individually with people in powerful ways in the evening
to bring healing to areas that need His special touch. With that in mind,
provision has been made for you to stay on-site.

If coming for the 5 Days of Healing seminar, you'll need a Bible, notebook,
pen, comfortable clothes (pack an extra sweater -- you may need it out here in
the country), a pair of slippers or a change of shoes, headphones if bringing a
walkman/personal stereo, small portable fan in the summer, and toiletries.
A set of towels, clean linens, and hand soap are provided for you.
If coming for a one day seminar, you may wish to bring a Bible, notebook and
pen with you. Clipboards and paper are available for you to use and typed
notes will be provided. During warmer months, you may wish to bring a lawn
chair with you, if attending the Curses & Deliverance seminar, as there will be
opportunity for you to do a short assignment and many people like to take
advantage of the time to enjoy the sunshine and property outdoors.

No, though we make occasional exceptions, based on our staffing abilities,
for those in full-time ministry. Although we recognise the need for people
to find a quiet place to meditate and rest from the hectic demands of life, our
facilities are not used for that purpose.
