Jacob's Well is a registered Canadian charity which is also a counseling and seminar ministry to the Body of Christ.  The ministry, based 10 minutes west of Kitchener, is led by Rev. Howard Ellis, and has facilities for one-on-one counseling, a meeting room that accommodates up to 30 people, and rooms for overnight seminar attendees.

We believe our main calling is primarily to the Church:  our work is to minister in a parallel path beside the Church in order to strengthen it.  We believe that when the people Jesus sees as His Church, are living out the life of Christ in obedience to Him and with demonstrations of His power, evangelism will be a natural result.  The book of Acts confirms this.

Our mandate as a ministry is:

David, the Psalmist, asked the question, "When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" (Psalm 11:3).

As a ministry, primarily through the vehicle of seminars, we envision repairing faulty foundations as the Holy Spirit guides us, of those who will submit to the work of Jesus' blood on the cross, so that we will be like those Isaiah foresaw: "Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called repairer of broken walls, restorer of streets with dwellings" (Isaiah 58:12).

When the spiritual foundations in people's lives are correct, they will experience the stability that is needed to honour God in our families, churches, schools, work, other spheres of influence and overall, in this nation.

Statement of Faith

Jacob's Well ministers to and welcomes Christians of all persuasions.  Our Statement of Faith underlines our commitment to the Bible as relevant to today's needs and as the foundation for all our teaching and counseling.

 

Donations

As a faith-based ministry, we rely on God to supply our needs, but He does this through people!  While seminar fees cover about half our expenses, other costs are covered through donations.  Our donations policy and information on how you can make a charitable donation can be found in this section.
